Joyful Comedies

Since the 2020 pandemic we have been brainstorming, creating, starring in, completing and releasing joyful comedies. The first joyful comedy The Loneliness of the Social Distance Runner has been released on 01 May 2020 to a great acclaim and enthusiasm of our friends family film & TV industry and international audiences. The Loneliness of the Social Distance Runner was filmed in our local park and our main filming studio in our own living room. We use standard self-tapes blue and sometimes grey backgrounds and as much as possible natural light.We edit mainly in iMovie. Nick edits and composes music for our joyful comedies. As we are based in SW London we started calling our filming studio 'Swollywood'. Encouraged by our fans and audiences we continue to release our joyful comedies on a weekly basis with a break during Christmas and New Year each year. Early on we also began winning official selections of the international film festivals and have been featured in some of the industry publications during lockdown which has been very encouraging. We are so happy and grateful that we have a very solid raving fan base and that we have been inspiring joy by entertaining the world.

Occasionally we began to engage wonderful friends actors and they have been guest starring along us in some of our joyful comedy videos. The half a day or a few hours filming sessions now extend to filming on Saturdays when we usually produce four projects in a day all directed by Nick.

We all need a good laugh sometimes. And we all need some loving. So when Goa dance group The Music Mafia from India asked us to make a video for their World Challenge #mafiaworldlove , we thought we’d do our bit to bring more love, joy and laughter to the world.

The contribution was so liked by the organiser that it will be globally streamed on 15th of August 2020 from India.
